This is a difficult period with much uncertainty around when life will return to a normal day-to-day routine. We are however seeing promising news and results from the government-enforced restrictions.
As we have informed you on March 23, Geelong’s Gym will be closed until further notice, therefore all memberships and direct debits have been placed on hold until the government deems it safe for us to reopen our facility.
As you know, the Geelong Cats purchased the gym in January 2020. Although these are challenging times, the Geelong Cats including myself are still very much excited about the future of the gym, operating in this industry, helping people with their health and wellbeing, and contributing to the wellness of the greater Geelong community.
I’ve been staying in touch with my team, checking in on their spirits and their mental health. The overwhelming feelings I’m getting from the team is they want to get back to connecting and helping people with their health and fitness journey, they miss talking to our members on a regular basis and simply want to be involved in your lives. The team really misses you and I’m sure the feeling is mutual.
We want to thank you for your understanding and support in this challenging period. We have had a number of heartfelt messages from our community. These circumstances will only bring us closer together and a stronger organisation because of it.
We know that you will be missing the gym at this time – we’re missing you! Because we’re dedicated to your fitness journey during this time, we have a timetable of live classes planned as well as some other virtual classes. You’ll be able to stream from your home and re-connected with some of your favourite instructors, and more importantly, get some much-needed exercise.
We look forward to seeing you walking through the front doors of the gym again soon.
