Mindful Fitness: The Smart Way to Exercise

By: Gerard Spriet on 7th November 2017 in Fitness and Personal Health Comments are off for this post.

Exercise used to be about pushing yourself to your limits. Sweat and pain were part of the procedure; if you didn’t ache after working out, you weren’t doing it right. Now, people have started to exercise the smart way, by being mindful of making the most of their training.

Instead of struggling to keep fit, you can choose an optimal workout that does what you want as quickly as possible, as well as burn stress, not just calories. Mindfulness has become an integral part of keeping in shape.

Mindful fitness

Mindful exercise is about choosing workouts that benefit your wellbeing as a whole. Your mental state and physical wellness are considered not just your goals to improve your physique. You might also carry out a fitness practice that brings the best results. Thus, a routine incorporating HIIT, known as high-intensity interval training is preferable to exercise that takes longer and is less beneficial.

At the same time, mindful fitness includes being aware of the exercise equipment and sportswear you buy. It’s possible to purchase compact gym gear to use at home that gives your whole body a workout. You can also use smart gym clothes, which are designed to support your body and encourage you to adopt the correct form when exercising.

Many people are choosing to work out in ways that increase longevity and good mental health too. Before bringing mindfulness to their exercise routine, they might have simply worked on developing a six-pack or toning their arms. Now, they are likely to include a mindful exercise like yoga or tai chi to their regimen to aid a calm mind and flexible body.

There’s good news for people who lack sleep as well. Mindful fitness embraces napping!

The concept of no pain, no gain is fading. A more intelligent way of exercising is out there, that takes your mind and movement into account. If you want a workout that works, be mindful about how you exercise. Ensure your routine promotes optimal results. Also, consider your emotional health and take care of your well-being from a holistic perspective.

As a result, you’ll find keeping fit replenishing rather than a hard slog.

Geelong's Gym is perfect for us…

“Our team has been using Geelong’s Gym in pre-season training, especially as our training facilities were under renovations, and we have been continuing to utilize the Geelong's Gym facility with the junior players. We have found it to be in the perfect position for us, with a very welcoming environment where our players are able to train without being disturbed. It has proven to be a good alternative to our training facilities, somewhere fresh where we don’t feel like we’re at work. Geelong’s Gym is perfect for us because it has all the facilities we need, with an excellent amount of space, where we’re treated as regular members of the public.”
